With nearly five years of experience as a Sound Designer at Light & Wonder—the largest gaming company in the world—I specialize in creating immersive audio experiences across a broad spectrum of game genres and themes. From the earliest conceptual stages to final implementation, every sound across the 20+ titles I've worked on has been meticulously crafted, engineered, and mixed by me. My responsibilities span sound effects, foley, voice recordings, and music composition, ensuring a cohesive and emotionally resonant audio identity for each project.

I work with FMOD in to bring sound to life interactively and dynamically. My work is deeply collaborative, often involving close coordination with studio directors, animators, and engineers to align creative vision with technical execution.

Classically trained in piano since the age of four, I hold a degree in Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney), where I focused on composition, sound design, and music history. My musical influences are diverse and global, ranging from classical composers like Chopin and Schubert to classic rock icons such as Beatles and Oasis, and extending to overseas acts like L'Arc en Ciel and Jay Chou, as well as modern electronic pioneers like Skrillex, Deadmau5, and Virtual Riot. I am also a huge heavy metal boy Slipknot and From first to last being some favourites.

This eclectic background allows me to work fluidly across genres—from traditional Chinese festival music and orchestral fantasy scores to city pop, chiptune, sci-fi atmospheres, and jazz-infused soundtracks. Growing up in a Chinese household with music-loving parents, I was immersed in both Western and Eastern musical traditions. I also write and perform with traditional Asian instruments, and I'm fluent in both Chinese and Japanese—skills I aspire to use in bridging cultural boundaries through music and sound in games, film, and personal creative ventures.

Passionate about storytelling through sound, I am always seeking innovative ways to push audio to new creative and technical heights.

1. Thunder Drums
(Scientific Games)

Working under renowned creative director and elements studio. Thunder drums is a rhythmic high energy game with the three drums acting as the three pots. The game’s conceptual catalyst evolved from the idea where sound is to dictate the direction of the game.

This was the first game where we decided on the sounds and the music as the compass towards building the game, all the visual imagery would come afterwards, hence we are able to fine tune everything to the sound and therefore having the sound be the focus, allowing for a new take and a impactful project.

2. Big Hot Flaming Pots

Fusion of East asian culture, modern technology and bassa nova music.

The concept of this game was a bubbly uplifting character that uses food to award prizes. The music of this game needed the blend and mix of all those above, i was able to find a fun balance of both asian styles and european syles of music (mixing instruments and bassa nova)
The final addition is the electronic element of the gane, it required modernity, which i have layered into the game subtly along with heavy digital mixing techniques to acquire the digital brilliance that is symptomatic of modern music.

3. Duo Fu Duo Cai Dragons

quintessential east asian festival type game

Drawing from my cultural background as chinese, this game’s music and souf effects are the traditional festive music that is heard in many cultural and national events.

the music is melodic, percussive and ethnically rhythmic.

Very specific instruments are used here with the pentatonic scale being very important in shaping the characters of both the music and sfx.

4. Penny Pier

Carnival inspired game from any early european history, instrumentation used.

drawing from my extensive musical background, the music here is high tempo, syncopated, mechanical and very cheerful and cartoon like!

- calliope (Steam organ)
- Wurlitzer
- honky tonk
- toy percussion - music box
