Musician, composer, sound designer, producer for all music <3
I started playing classical piano at the age of 4, and ever since then been completely infatuated by music of all genres. Growing up listening to all the classic rock artists such as the Beatles and Oasis, to classical piano roots such as Chopin and Schubert, to the other side of the world in Asian rock bands and acts such as L'arc En Ciel and Jay Chou, to eventually loving electronic acts, Skrillex, Deadmau5 and Virtual Riot.
i love writing and creating music and SFXs in literally all forms, my current job in sound design allows me to create music from all sorts of genres, as our games are quite diverse and have very specific targets! it ranges from Chinese festival music, intense fantasy war music, jungle safari, upbeat city pop, jazz, chip-tune, Sci-Fi
Currently working as a Sound Designer in the largest Gaming company in the world for almost 5 years (Light and Wonder) Creating, mixing, recording, engineering and coding all the sounds that are used in the 30+ titles that ive worked on from beginning to end. Not a single sound in the games doesn't go through me! this includes SFX, Foley, Voice recordings and all Music.
we work with C++ (C#) coding and also FMOD which is in conjunction with Unity
I studied music at the Sydney Conservatorium of music (University of Sydney) where i focused on composition, sound design and music history.
Growing up in a full Chinese household to music loving parents, i encountered a lot of asian music growing up, writing and performing for asian instruments. I hope to use my Chinese and Japanese fluency to create music that can spread to all parts of the world. Whether that be in games, films or my own personal ventures.
Due to legal reasons, i am unable to directly link or provide any audio that i've worked on for my company (Light & Wonder). However i am able to provide videos from Youtube, of players and streamers who stream games, and you should be able to listen the sounds and music i've worked on through there. Otherwise i can supply remixed versions of the tracks.
A rhtyhmic jungle game with electronic and metallic sounds incorporated into the design. There are a couple of games in this link, all with different genres. Asian (japanese samurai) Serengeti (African sahara), leaping lions (Chinese festival)
This game required me to make a fusion genre of Chinese festival and Bassa Nova (south american syncopated) It also required me to do a lot of voice recordings (character) and foley for all the pots and pans, and other kitchen sounds needed.
A classic traditional Chinese game, incorporating alot of traditional instruments, guzheng, erhu, pi pa and chinese percussion. i used alot of synthesised sounds to create many of the transitions and in game sounds, and also alot of layering to create a realistic dragon roar sound.
a carnival type game with many upbeat carnival style sounds and songs!
My harder electronic music , where my influences from skrillex, virtual riot, and porter robinson are shining through!
This song is called Neon Park, i wanted to create a cute melodic dance track that is reminiscent of the first level of games with my own sound embedded into it! i envisioned a lit up park with alot of fun activities and mini games that anyone is welcome to play!
A chiptune like fun little upbeat song, with innocence, naivety and not a worry in the world! i love creating all types of music!
